"Sisters Over 70"

Our next meeting is Thursday, August 14 at 10:30 A.M. in the choir room at The Meetinghouse.  

Wisdom is not necessarily an automatic gift of old age.  But by the time we have lived 70 plus years, we hope we have acquired a little bit.  At our August meeting we will share the lessons we have learned during our long lives.  Join us for an interesting, stimulating discussion, and some laughter too.

Family Potluck and Game Night
Friday, September 5, 2008 @ 6 PM

Join your UU friends for an evening of good food and fun games on Friday, Sept. 5. We’ll gather at 6 PM, share our gustatory bounty, and break out board games and card games for the young and the not quite so young.  More information will follow this announcement, but we wanted to get out the word early enough for you to mark your calendars.

UUCFW Chat is a new Yahoo eGroup designed for members and friends of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Fort Wayne.  Its purpose is to provide a forum for discussion of matters of mutual interest to the congregation, exchange of ideas and opinions, commentary on community issues, suggestions for social action, and the like.

Announcements of upcoming activities sponsored by the congregation will continue to be handled by our office; UUCFW Chat is more on the order of an online covenant group for the entire congregation.  It is an unmoderated (but not immoderate) eGroup devoted to encouraging a fuller opportunity for dialogue among our membership (... for example, continuing discussion on recent adult RE topics or topics addressed from the pulpit by Jay or others).  Think of it as an extended coffee hour, even if you couldn't make it to the Sunday service or stay for coffee hour.
